Partnership Working in the West End

This will discuss the work that has been conducted in the West End of Newcastle between a range of partners, to address the prevalent issues around drug supply, violence and exploitation. It will explain how, as a collective, we can tackle the root cause of the issues along with the indirect impacts around vulnerability and social cohesion, raise awareness, and create an environment which is hostile for criminality to prosper. The Clear Hold Build initiative in the West End is about a community led response to these issues, creating a safer space for the community themselves to be involved in the building of a prosperous community space.
