Public Health film animations now available in 6 community languages

Work has been done to translate three public health animations into 6 community languages:

  1. Drug or Alcohol Support in Newcastle – explains the support available in Newcastle, including help for carers, children and young people.
  2. Stigma – A Call for Action – raises awareness of what stigma is, its impact, and what individuals can do to challenge it.
  3. Home Takeover – Targeted and Trapped – explains home takeover (“cuckooing”), what signs to look out for, and how to get help. Includes a youth version

Accessibility and Translations

The films were designed for public and professional use. They are 3–4 minutes long, use plain English, clear imagery and subtitles.

They are now available with full audio and subtitle translations in six community languages: Arabic, Punjabi, Urdu, Bengali, Czech and Tigrinya
