Let’s Talk Safeguarding Adults

The Newcastle Safeguarding Adults Board (NSAB) is working on their Strategic Annual Plan for 2021-22. Each year, the NSAB has to develop and publish an annual plan which says how we will safeguard adults at risk from abuse and neglect.

We want to hear from a wide range of people about what we should be focussing on. This includes adults with care and support needs, their families and carers the general public and professionals.

Covid-19 restrictions have impacted on the ways in which we can hear from people, but there are still different ways in which people can have their say. The short video below has some information about what safeguarding adults is and how you can have your say.

Let’s talk

You can contribute via our online Lets Talk survey and topic wall: www.letstalknewcastle.co.uk

The survey and topic wall is open until 30 April 2021.

Email us

You can email us with ideas for our annual plan. Some key questions you might want to think about:

  • What are the top three priorities you think Newcastle Safeguarding Adults Board should be concentrating on next year?
  • What are your main concerns about safeguarding adults in Newcastle?
  • Is there anything else you would like to tell us about keeping adults at risk safe in Newcastle?

Attending a group session

We can attend any online group meetings to ask people what they think. If you organise or attend a group that would like to give feedback, please get in touch with us – safeguardingboards@newcastle.gov.uk
